Professional support options


Professional support is tailored to your specific needs. Topics that have been covered so far this year include: assessing using ELLP, course planning, multi-levelling classes, accessing support for students with additional learning needs.



  • book a specified number of hours  to be used as required. Minimum booking - one hour.

Face-to-Face at your school - suitable for schools in the wider Auckland area and Whangarei


Online: suitable for all schools but particularly those along way from main centres.

Upcoming workshops



The revised English language unit standards for reading and writing.

This online workshop will cover key messages about changes to the standards and how these will affect teaching and assessment.

Time commitment: 2 hours either 9.30-11.30 or 1-3

Date: 1st March

Cost: $60

This course will be run again at the end of March if there is suffiicient interest.


ELLP - Assessing English language learners using ELLP

This workshop will examine

  •  diagnostic, placement and monitoring assessment

  •  selecting appropriate assessment tools

  •  the ESOL funding scoring system and benchmarks using ELLP

  •  placing students on the ELLP matrices

  •  managing the assessment process
